From: tarheel Dear Journal Friends, here is a website created by one of the guys that i use to work with at WBTV NEWS, in Charlotte,n.c....i worked there from 1970 til 1983... there are lots of photos about tv news in the early 70's and several photos of me "in action"...lol anyway, remember it was the early 70's and BEFORE i grew my beard!!! go to: http://btmemories.com/index.htm (someone make a linky for me...please!!!) click on the word>>>> PHOTOS read that page all the way down... (that photo on the bottom right there is me...yep it's me...) then click on the words VIEW GALLERY there are about 12 or 13 pages of photos of tv news back in the early 70's... even some photos of our news team with WALTER CRONKITE!!! (that's me standing behind Walter,in the first photo)... anyway, you can view the entire website if you keep going back to the HOME page and then clicking on the next intresting subject! all these folks are retired now or gone on to that big TV NEWS ROOM ,in the sky!!! just a bit of nastalgia... hope you all enjoy!!! tar... |

From the page linked, click "Photos" On the pic labelled "WBTV News Team" click "News Pics" On the page that comes up click "View Gallery" ??????????????????? Of course, 'twouldn't be the first time I got lost trying to follow directions - which is why "we" seldom stop to ask for directions. John |
