Hi,
I'm looking for the lyrics of a song called " the fish" which is nr.9 on William Jackson's cd Celtic Tranquility. Can someone tell me where I can find the lyric then please send me an e-mail: paragon@dragonmount.com

Best wishes,
Enelya

allmusic lists an album by William Jackson & the Scottish Orchestra of New Music called "St. Mungo: A Celtic Suite for Glasgow," Greentrax CD #41, 1994. The contents are:

1. St. Mungo's Blessing: Introduction
2. The Bird
3. The Tree
4. The Bell
5. The Fish

I wasn't able to find any lyrics or sound samples.

The bird, tree, bell, and fish are all featured on Glasgow's coat of arms which is shown and explained here.

CD also available through that site:

William Jackson - The Celtic Suites Ref: MRCD012

On that, "The Fish" appears as 'cut' 11.

I've finally had a chance to hear this music via Spotify.

The words seem to be in Gaelic, which I can't understand or transcribe.

It is a Gaelic translation of the City of Glasgow motto - "Lord let Glasgow flourish by the preaching of thy word and praising of thy name."

In Gaelic, " A Thighearna Fasadh Glaschu Gu Math Le Searmonachadh Ur Facal Is Le Moladh Ut Ainm."
