Seeing that, as yet and may it remain so, there is no commercial access to the area where the Creatures live there is hope that they will be left in peace for some time. Thank You for posting the Slideshow. Wonderful. Life goes on...just when we people think we know all there is to know about the other Species on the Planet...Nature educates us:) Love and Light Jude |

Sort of took the edge of it somehow.......... :( |

07 Feb 06 - 02:30 PM (#1663975) Subject: RE: BS: If you like rare 'critters' From: GUEST,open mike i remember once hearing of a national geographic expedidtion that went to a previosly un-visited-by-modern-society isolated tribe and brought them transistor radios...that might have been the beginning of the end for those "innocent" people. I hope this doesnot bring death and destruction to this pristine area. like the book and movie Never Cry Wolf, the well-intentioned naturalist was followed by not-so-friendly others. A fewy3ears ago there was an expedition that went to a remote place in Aftrica where supposedly no outsiders had ever visited. and there was a group that discovered a sacred mythological water fall in Thailand or Burma (Siam?) that was apparently not seen by others (except maybe monks) prior to their journey there. amazing to think there could possibly be places on the planet not yet trampled, mapped, or manipulated. I hope it remains intact!! |
