I remember reading about someone re enacting Kemps Morris Dance to Norwich over the Easter period. This is raising money for a medical charity and I need to know more please. I am stranded without access to newsgroups then remembered good old Mudcat. Please help me with this and either PM me or andy@miskinfolk.co.uk

TIA

Andy

This might be what you are thinking of http://www.nextfootup.com/.

Ben Dauncy is dancing from Tunbridge to Worchester during April

Andy,

If it's Next Foot Up you're talking about, I've offered to help with advertising & PR in my area ~ the Cotswolds to the finish at Worcester.

If I can help, or you'd like further info, contact me, I'm awaiting details from their Press Officer.

Hope you're both well, looking forward to Miskin :-)

Andy,

I saw something about this or something very like it.

But I'm dammned if I can remember where! Might it have been at Whittlebury last September?

Really good idea but I bet he'll have sore feet.

Pity his route doesn't include the Easter Festival at Fareham and Gosport. That's where I'll be and I'd gladly dance a mile or so with him.

I hope that's not my Toby defecting to the other Easter festival. He knows Miskin is the place to be.

Don't worry Miskin Man.

I'm another Toby.

I will try Miskin one day but I've already got tickets to see the likes of Janis Ian, Roy Bailey, Dave Swarbrick and Waterson-Carthy at the Easter Festival at Fareham and Gosport this year.

Hope your own event goes well though.

Thanks for the help everyone. Yes this will be the chosen beneficiary of the Mudcat Raffle, thanks to MGAS
End of use for this thread really, before it turns into a see you at Fareham or Miskin site!!!
Some lucky people are doing both.

"Some lucky people are doing both"

Yes indeedy. Some are even playing at both - Vicky Swan & Jonny Dyer + Isambarde among them.
