27 Feb 06 - 04:23 AM (#1680058) Subject: Charity night at Herga TONIGHT From: Singing Referee Not much notice, but I've just realized that this hasn't featured on Mudcat! Tonight Monday 27th February, we are holding our annual Charity Night at Herga Folk Club. This year the charity is "Shooting Stars", a well worthwhile cause indeed. Singing on the night will be Johnny Collins, Graeme Knights, Tony & Pearl O'Neil, Les Sullivan & Kitty Vernon, Moses & The Ref, Mike Sparks, George Papavgeris, John Breeze plus of course – yourselves, we hope! As is our custom for charity nights, money will be raised not only through the entrance fee but also through a richer-than-normal raffle and of course through the "fine" system – fines for singing off key, for singing on key, the wrong song, the right song, breathing in and breathing out; so bring lots of sloose change. We try to make these nights a bit of a special party, so – bring whatever delicacy tickles your tastebuds for us all to share, and if you can also some prize for the raffle (booby prizzes also accepted!). But above all – BRING YOURSELVES! And leave worries at home… |

I only saw the thread today but I hope you had a good time raising the cash. Cllr |
