01 Mar 06 - 06:49 PM (#1682677) Subject: Danish Online Folk Radio From: bfdk Just came across this online radio which might be of interest to some of you: Danish online Folk Radio Select "DR Folk" (opens in a new window). They play contemporary folk, mainly Danish, Scandinavian and Anglo-American. You can select the sound quality by clicking on the "Lydkvalitet: Lav (low), Mellem (medium) and Høj (high)" on the left according to your bandwidth. Best wishes, Bente |

01 Mar 06 - 07:13 PM (#1682700) Subject: RE: Danish Online Folk Radio From: GUEST,stickyfingers I saw "Danish Dentist on the Job" at a local cinema in the 1970's. There was a reasonable selection of brass band music playing in some of the scenes, if I remember correctly. |

I saw quite a few German "Carry on.." and "Confessions of.." style nudey comedy films in the 1990's on continental satellite television. There was no difficulty unerstanding the fun and games despite my inability to speak any German because 'falling off things into water' and 'clothes falling off' gags are reasonably universal. Which is very good indeed. |

02 Mar 06 - 04:31 AM (#1683023) Subject: RE: Danish Online Folk Radio From: bfdk P2 is mainly classical music, and this program - judging by this week's program - is, too. The title simply means "People and Music". Best wishes, Bente |

02 Mar 06 - 09:11 AM (#1683167) Subject: RE: Danish Online Folk Radio From: GUEST,leeneia I got the box to come up, but I didn't get any sound even though I clicked on the triangle at the left and then on the little yellow loudspeaker. Hjaelp! |

02 Mar 06 - 09:39 AM (#1683199) Subject: RE: Danish Online Folk Radio From: bfdk I don't know what happened there, leeneia, when I open the window the sound comes on automatically, without even clicking on the triangle. Here's what the help (Hjælp) box has to say about missing sound: "If there's no sound, it may be due to the chosen channel being down at the time of accessing it. [It's definitely working as I write]. Try another DR channel, or try the same channel with another sound quality setting. You can also test whether you can play sound by selecting another online radio service (they suggest BBC World Service - which opens automatically in Windows Media Player when clicked from the help box). If DR Netradio does not buffer, this can be down to a firewall blocking the stream. DR Netradio uses so-called standard ports. On the Microsoft help page you can see which ports must be opened. If this doesn't help, you may want to consult your internet provider / firewall administrator." If this doesn't help, I don't really know what to suggest, I'm not that technically minded.. ;-)) Best wishes, Bente PS just noticed.. You clicked ON THE LITTLE LOUDSPEAKER?? Then that should be it, it's the mute button.. Click it again ;-) |
