02 Mar 06 - 05:50 AM (#1683049) Subject: Musician needed urgently Saturday 4 Mar. From: IanC Hi ... I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who might be able to help me out at very short notice. It's in Ashwell, UK on the boundary of Herts/Beds/Cambs. Basically, I have a dance band for a barn dance / ceilidh (starting 7:30 Saturday) with a caller and a bass/rhythm section but no melody. Things have just fallen through repeatedly and life's otherwise pretty thoroughly complicated. I'd do it myself but it's for my wife's 50th birthday and I don't think I'd be very popular. Band's setting up at 7:00 (plugged/PA available) and there's £60 in it (what I'm paying all the other musicians). Fiddler, flute, hurdy gurdy, English pipes, whatever. If you know me or if you just feel charitably inclined, please PM me or leave a message here. Don't phone though ... it's all supposed to be a secret. HELP! :-( Ian |
