I'm thinking of songs from around the world, i.e. Tshothsolosa, De Colores...but am pretty flexible. Might even do some Beach Boys. I'd love suggestions on songs that people have tried with kids choirs before. They're 4-6 graders. Thanks! |

If they're good enough, some Elizabeth: Matona, Lovely Maiden, or the one whose name I forget that is an ode to sleep (Come, close my eyes; tired of beholding vanity...). Or, for that matter, Down by the Salley Gardens. There are plenty of youth's French songs that will serve -- A La Claire Fontaine, trimmed down to a few verses, might be lovely. If you want to raise a stir, teach them to sing "With Your Drums and Guns..." (Johnny, I hardly knew ye) or "Last Night I Had the Strangest Dream". A |
