06 Mar 06 - 03:50 AM (#1686232) Subject: Lyr Req: one for weight watchers? From: Paul Burke Maybe a case for Dave the Gnome...This came to mind, and I can't find it in DT or the forum. Sung by my Dad, Salford 50s/60s: Our Annie's very fat And she thought she'd have to get thin again, All the neighbours told her that She'd have to go to Doctor Finnegan, Finnegan told her what to do, Charged her half a crown- He said, if you want to get rid of your fat, You'll have to melt it down... Anyone know any more? |

Funny thing is that I was brought up (well, dragged up then!) in Swinton, the whole of 2 miles from Salford, and we didn't like Salford people:-0 Perhaps playground rhymes were very regional indeed! Keep us posted if you find any more though and thanks for sharing it with us anyway:-) Cheers Dave |
