See the permathread for St Albans Windward Folk song club

Chris will be appearing as stated at the Comfort Hotel, Holywell Hill

Great songs from a fast emerging performer returning to the folk scene with fresh new songs on offer.

Anthony John Clarke has recorded one for imminent release

Wish I could get along to hear Chris - Fab player & songwriter! Nicked a couple myself....

Too far on a worknight, but I'd recommend anyone local to get along, you'll have a great evening!

I'm in mourning after another last minute goal sinks The Spurs!

But still looking forward to Chris and Nuada tomorrow.

Thats the spirit ref, dont let it grind you down.

Charlton are still in the F A cup.

Spurs to win F A

So one of us can be happy.

is Wales drawing to Italy as bad as Spurs losing?

I blame Charchotte Lurch and 'Player Power' for the welsh demise this season

Not for the spurs loss mind.

what was the score ?

Did you see it>

What was the journey home like?

see you tonight and I promise not to mention it.

' And his spurs went jingle jangle'

Very polished, 2 sets of original songs , varied, humourous, philosophical, observational and emotive.

And he sold some CDs

Contrasting style from Nuada whose extended set featured Ferris on an array of pipes and blowing-into instruments plus vocal, Ruth on Hurdy-gurdy and Spam on bazouki.

they are well worth catching 'in the act'

next week george papavgeris will be supporting Dave Kidman !!

Chris Flegg'll support George papavgeris

and I'll hold up all of em

Conjures up thoughts of a rather weird human pyramid don't it?!
But you're a big man with a big heart, Breezy! Good on yer...

Promises to be an interesting night - but time to move on to another thread methinks.
Cheers,
M

Great evening last night. Chris, as always, gave a superb performance with some great new songs.

And lovely to hear (for the first time for me) Nuada's distinctive sound.

Looking forward to next week - and, of course, the week after when it will be Moses and The Ref. We're working on some new (to us) stuff which will get its firt airing on 31st.

Christine
