OK, go here and left-click on "Molly Malone" to play or right-click to download.
I am doing this with the full permission of the copyright owner, by the way.

Isn't it just? Let's hear it for fusion...
It will be "A-beggin' I will go" with electric guitars and a drum machine next!

what I find more interesting then the lyrical line is that the instrumental lines are much more reminiscent of other folk songs then of Molly Malone.
In fact, without the lyrical line I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that that is what was being played.

ummmmm....'interesting'... It shows there's no limit to creative, inventive, cross genré foolishness.

(Over here we have Bluegrass bands that will adapt anything from a waltz to morbid Child ballads and figure out how to get in a hot banjo break!)

The instrumental line sounds a lot like Off to California to me.
