Anyone used this selfpublishing site or similar?
If so - are they any good? Any pitfalls?

I looked into a lot of these a couple of years ago and, just recently. I still find Cafe Press to be the best in pricing and ease of use. They have a set price that it costs you to have them print and bind your book; you set your price, and they do NOT take a royalty from the sale. You are charged just the one wholesale production cost. Also, you can buy copies, yourself, for a decent discount, esp. on 15 copies or more.

I looked into trad. printers and other online printers and none could beat their price for cost to me. Also, the quality at cafe press is good; it passed muster at Borders Books and several other bookstores I ahev contacted.

Having said that, for wider exposure and availability, I am looking into amazon's self-publishing deal. I won't make as much per book, but it could give me much more sales. It's worth taking a look at, imo.

From what I saw on lulu's site, I would nto recommend them.

Good luck,
