He's 75 today.I know he has some friends here who would like to wish him well.
I'll never forget his interpretation of "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds."
It still causes me to wake up screaming on a regular basis.

Well above retirement age! Do you think there's any chance of him sailing off into the sunset and giving the rest of us a break?

Happy birthday Billy.

I just saw one of the original Star Trek episodes and he looks as young as he always did. Hasn't aged a bit. I hope everyone here looks that young at his age.

Happy Birthday, William.

Thank the stars there is something to look forward to, say I.
I hope he keeps boldly going. Constipation is no joke at 75.

Well, even though Mr. Shatner may record what he loosely terms "songs," he is hereby banished to the "BS" section.

But of course he belongs in the "BS" section. Whattaya think "BS" stands for? Barbara Streisand?

The "Bill Shantner" section...and here I've been defending Joe Offer when everyone called him an igmo! Sheeesh!

"Peace you twit. Of course he looks young in Star Trek. Its set in the far future you dummy. He aint even born yet!!!"

THAT explains the youthful appearance. Find William Shatner.

Everyone knows the BS section was named after Shatner. Joe Offer is either playing dumb or just being contrary. Or else he's lost his faculties. ;-)

Well, Bill is getting on in years. It worries me sometimes, just like I worry about Bob Dylan too. And Leonard Cohen.

Thank God Winona Ryder is still young, eh?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MR SHATNER!!!! The entire WSSBA is lit out with colored lights all week in your honour, and we shall hold a gigantic soiree! EEEEEEEEEEEEEE-YYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHH! (Howard Dean yells for Shatner)

I hear Mr. Shatner's soiree isn't really that gigantic. It's just swolen up from that recurring infection the docs can't seem to get under control.

Oh, fer dumb. All this time, I thought "BS" meant "bullshit."
Guess I'd better go update the FAQ.
Happy 75th, Bill!

Joe,

"BS" meaning "Bill Shatner" and "BS" meaning "Bullshit" are not mutually exclusive propositions, you know.

There's lots of room for overlap.

Bill Shatner is currently featuring in an excellent series of telly adverts in the UK for Kellogs All Bran. I will certainly keep the BS regular.........
Happy belated, Captain.

Yes, they do. It is necessary as a reminder that we should all strive to achieve at least a minute semblance of their immortal genius.

Saw a young Shatner on a movie on TCM today in The Brothers Karamazov opposite Yul Brynner and Richard Basehart. A young Bill S. with a Moe Howard style hair-do. *snicker*

And he struts around and emotes in Russian too! Very bad movie. But a glimpse into the brilliant career ahead for young Bill on the Starship Enterprise.
