As the posting only of personal judgements (good or not so good) of what our fellow posters choose to contribute to a thread does not appear to serve any useful purpose and can be counter-productive - perhaps it would be a good idea for us to try and resist only posting such things - and to try to resist asking for judgement of the worth of a whole thread?

f) the thread I might start:

"Rogue Vigilante Clone - myth or reality ?"

that is, if I can be bothered re-setting cookies,
writing it, and checking the spelling !

But first,I'll have a mug of tea
and see if there's any old cowboy or war movies on afternoon TV;

actually I might have a sleep until tea time instead,

so if anyone else wants to start this thread.. feel free !?

The grammar's a bit too comprehensible, Wolfgang, but considering that English-derived-Gibberish is not your native tongue, it's an excellent attempt.

For many years there has been a nasty rumor throughout the world that Germans have no sense of humor. Wolfie has just proven the rumor to be utterly false.

Brilliant, Wolfgang! Perhaps it would be germaine at this point to re-examine our individual and collective rationale for posting such personal judgements of others, given the fact that in so doing we both intentionally and unintentionally contribute to a lessening of mutual respect and an implication that this forum, as a venue for public discourse, is nothing more than a sounding board for the venting of discordant emotive wrangling rather than a sharing of things in common from which we could all derive a sense of community and acceptance?

Well said Wolfgang.

Me too!

For the first time - I almost agree word for word with Wolfgang's lack of judgement.

All threads that have suffered the humiliation of lasting only 24 hours before dropping from the menu without a single response. I have seen a few.
I even started one.

My friend, Raptor, once suggested that we start a "Happy Birthday" thread on Mudcat to someone who doesn't exist, and see what would happen. He thought it would be hilarious.

I said, "What will happen is it will drop off the board in 24 hours and no one will post to it except you and me."

And that's exactly what happened. It got 3 posts (from me and Raptor) and vanished. It didn't even get a post from Peace. I can't even remember what the hell the name was of the person supposedly having a birthday!

You can't get any more boring than that.

Any thread that degenerates into a personal one-on-one between two Mudcatters, exclusive of the rest of us who would like to have a civilized, though-provoking discussion.

Not bad....so let's see...........

Hawk, you're such a complete and total wanker that words alone are not enough to describe the totality of your assaholic behavior and crappola postings. The only thing you have contributed to Mudcat is the "Shatner Proof" where you established Shatner as the living proof that caribou butt-fucked buffalo.

I'm going to bed. See you in the morning.
