28 Mar 06 - 04:32 PM (#1704953) Subject: Blatant plug! Bit on the Side CD is out! From: mandotim Bit on the Side are now in possession of boxes of CDs, and would like to get rid of some as they are cluttering up the place. It's called 'Running Through the Heart', and it has 16 tracks of our own songs, some tunes, some traditional songs and so on...even a Dylan song (we're expecting a call from Bob any day now to ask if he can do one of ours...) If you've seen us live, then you know what to expect (although we edited out the between songs arguments about what to sing next.)It would be nice if both our fans got in touch (pm would be good) then we can send you one in a plain brown envelope in return for ten UK beer tokens. Our new effort (entitled 'Barnstorming') is out sometime in early April. Fancy doing a swapsie? If you guys are going to be at Chester FF it'd be great to hook up with you! |

29 Mar 06 - 01:26 PM (#1705774) Subject: RE: Blatant plug! Bit on the Side CD is out! From: mandotim Thanks for the feedback Scoville! The guitar is my 1975 Rob Armstrong 6/12 string doubleneck acoustic. Spruce top, figured maple back and sides, unstained macassar ebony fingerboards and bridges, Brazilian rosewood bindings, hand made case by Rob. Bought it in a junk shop for almost nothing. It's one of a pair, this one is a blonde. The other one is a brunette, and is made from cedar and rosewood. Wish I knew where that one is! The sound is huge, and so is the guitar! We'd love to come up to one of your Saturday 'do's' as soon as we can; Geoff is in his busy time of year just now (Lent/Easter) so we're a bit restricted. See you soon. In the meantime, have a listen to the tracks at myspace (blue clicky above) and see what you think. Tim from Bit on the Side. |
