Well, looks like we can start new threads today. However, if I delete all the messages, the thread doesn't disappear like it used to. So, now we're stuck with this thread. I wonder if we can turn it into something fascinating like the generic lyrics request that moved on to Christian deer hunters. Hmmm. If I'm a vegetarian by moral principle, is it OK for me to eat road kill?

Reminds me of the one I started called 'TEST, please ignore', which ended up having about 15 contributions!

Joe, I'm too embarrassed to post this to "black country songs" so I'll sneakily stick it in here. I too was combing my mind for black country singers (and had come up with Leslie Riddle and Smokey Edwards) when I realised I'd been had! My Scottish wife Heather is still laughing (although she can't tell me exactly where the black country is) We've had "green country singers" of course...but with a little practice they'll get better. Now "red country singers"..not many, although Skeeter Davis was anti-Vietnam, and got suspended from the Opry. I can certainly identify with "yellow country singers" though, and I guess I would have qualified the time I was playing to a very unruly bunch of bar patrons in Sudbury Ontario. I faked sickness in order to get out of doing the Saturday matinee.

Yes Joe your moral principals are downrite uprite. The local Marmots here are vegetarians untill one gets dead on the road. Then the others feast. Sometimes its all in the family. Please draw your own conclusions. A thread is a thread is a thread, but enough thread and you've a rope. Cheers!
