The Eleventh Annual Charlie Poole Music Festival-- A Celebration of American Roots Music-- will be held June 9-11 at the Eden Fairgrounds (Oakland Avenue/Old Hwy 87) in Eden, North Carolina.

Friday night's concert features Kirk Sutphin, Carolina Borderline, the Hungry Hash House Ramblers, Debby McClatchy, and newcomers Phil and Ann Case. On Sunday, tours of Charlie Poole's hometown, historic Eden, will be led by Kinney Rorrer. Highlights will include the mill where Charlie worked and his grave site.

The field will open on Tuesday, June 6th. Campers and RVs welcome. Food and other vendors will be on hand.

Wow! Eden is literally just up the road from me, and I never heard of the Charlie Poole Festival. Thanks for passing it on. Will definitely consider it and have sent fiddling sister Annie the link.

Will you be there Gloux?

Janie

Janie,

No, although I really wish I could be. Too busy to make the trip. I expect that Pete Peterson (another mudcatter) will be there, though. Last year, Jerry Rasmussen expressed interest in going but I didn't give him enough lead time, so maybe he'll go this year...
