Thanks for letting me know Mike. I made an assumption for you, if you had been around :-)
Maybe Mrs Gwenda will bring hers Twangy.

I have put a limit of 70 seats and 52 have been taken (that includes the performers as well).

Have a nice Easter everybody and hope you get lots of easter eggs :-)

Its about time we saw Mr Sooz on his strummer!

The inspectors came to visit Faldingworth Village Hall last week and they came away with flying colours and they said that it was one of the best village halls they had seen. Pity they didn't stay for the folk club as they would have put it as number one village hall :-)

Have a great night, we can't make it and am gutted because everyone says how good Flossie is and I know, looking at the other performers it will be a good night again.
Will think of you all...hey maybe Twangy can do that thing u do at rock concerts when u turn your phone on so those unfortunates who couldn't go get a little burst of song...

I misread your e-mail to me Rockhen - I thought you could make it, but you were referring to AJC gig not Flossie.
Maybe Twangy could do video conferencing LOL

Les. You should change the name of your club thread to "The Villan/Twangler" thread. You two are always gassing...no-one can get a word in edgeways.
Best wishes, Mike.

Seems that I was a bit presumptuous about the following people attending.

Mr & Mrs Strollin Johnny
GeorgianSilver
Mr & Mrs JK
Mr & Mrs Rockhen

However others have booked their places. So I would imagine that it will be a sellout. I have decided to limit the seating to 60 for the comfort of everyone attending. So 8 places left at this moment in time.

The order of the evening will be

Gwenda & Terry Cater
Paul Young
Stitherum
Martin Browne & Elizabeth Padgett
Flossie Malavialle

So look forward to seeing you all and hope you enjoy your Easter Sunday.

we are born from the darknes and to the darkness shall return.
Seems they are leaving in droves mate,
is almost as if was holiday season or something.

>>Seems they are leaving in droves mate.<<

Strollin & JK are off to some other venue to play.
I thought GS would be around, but he is doing a lot of travelling down south at the moment, I think for family reasons.
Rockhen isn't going becuase you keep on knocking piano players :-)

You can hardly say they are leaving in droves when 52+ will be there.

Anyway, I am in a good mood today because Aston Villa beat the enemy today, and will stay in the Premiership now. Bham City might go down - hurrah says I. LOL :-)

She walks past me in pub and taps me on the head with her extending extra sharp knuckle bone and it hurts (and echoes)

LMAO. Does it sound good though? Thats a thought Mr Twangy (lead vocals and guitar) Mrs Twangy (head drums). That would be different :-)

Subject: RE: Market Rasen Folk Club Friday April 21st
From: Strollin' Johnny

Well, I wasn't going to mention it but since you lot brought it up, JK and I intend to sally forth to Bingham Folk Club, The Town Pavilion, Bingham, Notts., to see lots of old friends, play a few songs and spread the word about musical partnerships, CDs for sale etc! It's a hard life for us performers! :-)

That's all assuming I don't have another hospitalisation episode in the meantime. :-)

Sorry not to be there guys, should have been my 'Spotlight Guest' night, but with the current unpredictability of my health I didn't want to risk letting MRFC down at the last moment. Going elsewhere to a singaround-format club means that, if I'm poorly and can't go, no-one's let down (except Jane of course, but she's me mate and very understanding!).

I know the wonderful Flossie's dulcet voice will be a much-more-than-adequate substitute for mine (and she's an effin' sight better to look at!) - have a great night and I hope Jane and I will make the next one.

Cheers & Beers (if only.........!!)

My humble apologies to Villan and Twangler. It has been pointed out that my previous comment was 'not very nice' and although only done as a reflection of my usual joking self, I would not want anyone to feel offended. Best wishes, Mike.

Yep got you all Strummin Gilly. See you there :-) I plan to have a reserved area for all the Gainsborough mob.

Got this from reliable source.
Grimsby newspapers said that Flossie is moving to Lincolnshire!!!!! Thats all I know.

There we go then, new performers name Twangy and the Head Drummer

I wonder if Flossie is bringing her piano to MRFC :-)

Been up to sunny Cleethorpes today with missus and daughters. Half expected to see Twangy busking on the beach.
Saw Dai Woosnam on the way home having a walk, but I was passed him by the time I realised.

4 days to go :-)

And a tallented performer obviously.
Is good job that Folky women know their place,
Would cause trouble if any of them bolshy WWW read that.
Mind is it worth while teaching women to read really?
Education for women, good thing or waste of valuable housework time?
Discuss(with Les)
Sorry

Hey is it really raining out there?
It has been really fine in grimsby all night ,well what I could see of it througt the fog anyway.
Also sadly I am another night shift tonoght and so will have to be leaving about Ten!!!!
THis means no Geordy at all for us doesnt it?
Luckily all the other performers make it worth the journey despite this slight hiccup?

What a wonderful turnout tonight.

All I can say about the evening is that it was excellent.

Shame Tim wasn't there, as I have come to rely on him, doing a review of the evening.

Anybody else who wasn't a performer, care to do an honest review for me?

From: Tim theTwangler

I am so sorry couldnt make it
I suppose was bloomin great again?
We actualy got it as far as Caister on the A46 but started doing that opening your eyes with a bit of a start thing so I turned back.
I know,I know, I am a wuss!
But at least we are alive today.
I put it down to the week of 12 hour nights shifts and the awkwardness of trying to sleep during the day.
This has been a bad year so far,we have missed three allready!
Oh well I suppose there will be another evening of great music in two weeks.
I hope some one is gonna tell us what went on then.

She was fantastic, but the whole night as usual was fantastic. Its amazing really, stuck in one of the most rural areas you could wish to be in, and every two weeks, a band of performers provide fantastic music for us.
Don't let Strollin' know, he doesn't have any sympathy for teachers LOL :-)
