I downloaded a n advance copy from a torrent. I have listened to most of it on my IPOD. This stuff sounded great on the first play! Highly recommended - probably Neil's best since Harvest Moon. |

02 May 06 - 07:50 PM (#1732482) Subject: RE: Neil Young Album: Living with War From: Once Famous Yep, just like those contractors in Iraq, Neil Young is making money off of the war. It's OK with me. That's the American way. |
02 May 06 - 08:41 PM (#1732513) Subject: RE: Neil Young Album: Living with War From: SunnySister I loved this albumn. My friend, singer songwriter, Freebo, was part of the 100 person choir that backed Neil Young through this CD. I think the song "Looking for a Leader" is great and America the Beautiful is a wonderful reminder that American's can still complain and speak out, this country is ours and we love it despite the problems. I highly recommend at least a listen. Thanks Peter for posting about this! --SunnySister, who would really love President Bush to be impeached (can we also fire Cheney, Rice... all of the mess) |

02 May 06 - 10:23 PM (#1732587) Subject: RE: Neil Young Album: Living with War From: Desert Dancer That would be this thread: Neil Young to Release Protest Album. (All the Tom Wilson posts pushed a lot of recent stuff off the the list a bit early. Not that that's anyone's fault; just means folks need to do a quick filter check, like on "Neil Young" for the last 7 days, to make sure they're not starting superfluous threads. P'raps a Joe clone will combine these.) On the topic: the NPR reviewer on today's All Things Considered (clicky) concluded with the comment, "Why did it take a 60-year-old Canadian to record the most passionate statement about the war?" ~ Becky in Tucson |
02 May 06 - 10:37 PM (#1732598) Subject: RE: Neil Young Album: Living with War From: number 6 Neil young is 60 ... he has been living in the U.S. since he was in his early 20's .... His maternal grandfather was American ... that in itself would make him more 'American' than Canadian. sIx |
