The juxtiposition of the women or children with elephants and other animals was simply breathtaking. I intend to pass this link on to others, so that they can also have the experience of seeing these photographs. Amazing is the right word. For some reason, Gregory Colbert's photographs remind me of Julie Dash's film Daughters of the Dust Like those photographs, that film is truly an artistic experience. Thanks, Wesley! |

IMHO To be honest, it irked me that Colbert wouldn't/couldn't center the wings on the kid. It makes it ugly. From then on, I started picking nits. And they were there. |

My impression was of a child that had an angel standing behind it. In a protective manner. I'm sure your point is valid - but I just saw it a different way. |
