Brian is regarded by many as one of the top squeezebox players in the country, equally at home on melodeon or concertina. He's a bit handy on the guitar too! Mainly trad songs with a bit of contemporary material and possibly some blues and ragtime on the old box as well. Good company, cheap drinks, free grub/tea/coffee and a great performer. Can't be bad! To tell you the truth, I had never heard of Kiveton a week ago, and had no concept of that part of England at all. But I've just been boating down the tidal Trent, and then up the Chesterfield canal, and discovered a whole load of really interesting places about which I knew absolutely nothing. And there are some very cute bits round Kiveton! |
