I've returned from a Penny Lang, Dave Clark house concert at Shadygrove (www.shadygrove.ca), home of Peter Sussman and Barbara Jones. Wonderful evening. Dave's guitar work is stunning. If Penny's vocal work were wine, it would be rich, full-bodied, mature yet sometimes rough, with hints of Jane Tabor, and even Richard Thompson on Stone & Sand. |
