One thing I found was that a lot of shoplifters belong to a group of which tarheel is a member, namely, senior citizens. I also found out that the sites that provide instruction on how to reduce financial losses from shoplifting do not mention "Mexicans" as being a significantly greater risk for shoplifting than any other ethnicity or nationality. Shoplifting is a serious problem, and isn't really very funny. Bigotry is also a serious problem and it's not at all funny. |

Seeing how many shoplifters there are, that's a lot. Does that mean 20%? That's more, but is it "a lot"? 50%? Now if you said 50%, that would not only be "a lot", but it would probably be significant. Even 1% is a lot of shoplifters. If you gave SOME measure it would be helpful. "Most"? "Nearly all"? The preponderance"? "A larger proportion than their presence in the population"? Those might mean something. But "a lot"? No. Completely meaningless.
