18 May 06 - 08:45 AM (#1743053) Subject: Musical picnic in Maidstone (UK) From: Don(Wyziwyg)T Richard Peel and myself will be enjoying a picnic lunch at the Millennium Theatre in Whatman Park, Maidstone on Saturday 3rd June. Purely by chance we shall have our instruments with us, and, if perchance anyone else should accidentally find themselves in that locality, from noon till whenever a spotaneous outbreak of singing may occur. We did this last year, and had a great time with about a dozen people who turned up, and we would like to see more this year. The park rangers are up for it, as long as it's acoustic and (officially) alcohol free. You have to try this venue. The acoustics are nothing short of incredible, and you can be heard over a wide area (as far as you can see from the stage area). The rangers said last year that they enjoyed the music, and they are over three hundred yards away. Do try to get there, it's FUN. Don T. |
