That has you going right up the Eastern seaboard, though, and the congestion may not be worth it. You could also take 85 to Hillsborough, visit us, then take a scenic mostly 4-lane route north (NC 86 to US 58 to US 220) to Roanoke and 81. If you took just a bit of detour from 85 to Winston-Salem (and then 74 north to pick up 77 again), I would love to meet you in Winston, and bet I could talk Dani into making the drive also. Janie |
