Good for you. Many happy returns. We have our tenth coming up in November.

We're turning 33 in October. Pat will be in Massachusettes and I'll be in Salt Lake City.

And yes, I too think it's the best thing I ever did.

Congrats from one veteran to another.

At least you have proved that you can live with your mistakes... ;-)

Confratulations!

On Radio just at the moment:

A wedding celebrant mentioned that a couple insisted on having the song

"Still haven't found what I'm looking for"

played during the walkout after...

They are still together!

This post is just a leeetle out of chronological order, but if I wait until our anniversary I might forget to post it. So consider this posted on December 21st, 2006.

My Beautiful Wife and I were married on December 21st, 1963, 43 years ago this year.

Just in case it didn't sink in to you, December 21st, 1963 (like other years) was the longest night of the year.   WE were no fools!

I was at a wedding where the newly married couple danced to an Elvis tune - "I'm caught in a trap, I can't get out...."

David_O I don't know how to find on here where to email you directly if it's even possible. Back in 2004 you posted the lyrics to a song called "Poor Lil". I would be very interested to hear how you know that version and if there could possibly be another verse. Something about "She sits herself on the devil's knee and says for you dear devil it's gonna be free". I am SO sorry to post this here on a thread that it has nothing to do with, but really trying hard to remember this song. My mom passed away in 2004 and it would mean alot if I could remember this song.

I used to sing in the village church choir and could barely contain myself when couples chose the hymn by J Greenleaf Whittier:~ Dear Lord and father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways; reclothe us in our rightful minds......

Kay Will:

I learned "Poor Lil" in the summer of 1948, from a gal about my own age (17 or 18) who worked for the Rochester Art Center, Rochester, Minnesota. I have no idea what her name was. I was waiting for the fall quarter to begin at the University of Minnesota, where I was to begin in the art education curriculum.

I'm not familiar with the verse you cite. All I knew, I posted earlier.

Sorry I can't be of more help to you, Kay.
