He was with Brush Sheilds and Noel in (the original) Skid Row even before he was with Thin Lizzie. Marvelous speed and precision. As well as having an instantly ercognizable sound of his won, he's also one of the best guitar mimics I ever heard--sounding exactly like Peter Green, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, etc whenever he covers their songs. Bit of a folkie connection too as he did some stuff with Dr. Strangely Strange in the very early 70s. Owes me six quid, too. |
