23 May 06 - 11:11 PM (#1746372) Subject: Radriano in hospital From: Peter Kasin Radriano checked into Stanford hospital last week with abdominal pain. They found a kidney stone, and in the process also found a blocked artery in the heart. The stone passed a couple of days ago, and a tube was inserted into the artery, with a balloon which widens the artery and allows blood to flow smoothly. He should be home at any time. Needless to say, he won't be going to Seattle with me this week to sing at the NW Folklife Festival. Any good wishes you'd like to send him here, I'll pass them on to him (he won't have computer access until probably next week). He's doing well, considering all that's happened. The good news is Richard doesn't need any invasive, major surgery. Thanks, everyone. Chanteyranger |

23 May 06 - 11:25 PM (#1746377) Subject: RE: Radriano in hospital From: catspaw49 Hey Rads!! Now don't start trying to catch up with me and a few others around here. A cath and a stint is enough for awhile. Listen to the Docs and try to do it right....You'll be doin' fine in no time! Now those kidney stones are nasty and painful but listen to the cardiodocs 'cause when that thing quits you'll have to pay the check! Seriously, I wish you all the best and all the blessings of modern medicine. Personally, I like to paraphrase the old DuPont slogan......."Barely Living Through Chemistry" Get Well Spaw |
24 May 06 - 12:20 AM (#1746389) Subject: RE: Radriano in hospital From: Barry Finn The better news is that Richard called me about 4:30 mudcat time. He's at home & it looks like he'll be needing some relaxing, follow ups & he'll be taking his med's he sounded reasured of his health & in good shape & discussing that he wouldn't be dropping in at Mystic this year then he had to go, his doctor was calling on the other line. I don't think he's out of the woods yet (knock on wood) but hopefully henear the clearing. Thanks Chanteyranger for putting up this post, I hope his doctor was calling with good news. Barry |

He expects to be back at work soon and will, I'm sure, see the rest of the messages. I've been on the phone with him while in Seattle, and talked with him also today when back home. There's been some post-op problems; inflammation and an allegic reaction to medication; not good, but caught in time, so not life-threatening. He's looking forward to getting back to work and getting back to some normalcy in his life. Again, he really appreciated your good wishes. Chanteyranger |
