I am looking for a musician - or two - to play at a Sunday afternoon garden party in July - preferably sax or steel band with some vocals.

I'm a guitarist and singer (in Cambridge, so within easy travelling distance). Any use? I'm also in a blues/rock band, and we should be available too if you want us.

July is tricky though with holidays. When in July is this?

Graham.

I have come to Bury St Edmunds, not to praise him.

Funny place to advertise for "sax or steel band with some vocals"!

Maybe the Kryptonite is getting to her, too.

Alan

Or a black velvet band for your arm at the Burial?

Wasn't it Hamlet who talked about binding your friends to you with bands of steel...?

Oh, and music-wise, if I'm on my own then I just do general folk, 70s/80s pop and blues, with occasional bits of classical. If you want the band, we've probably got two half-hour sets, and we each play solo stuff as well so we can probably manage another couple of hours of random acoustic music (mostly folk and blues). We're all in it for the fun of it, so we're not going to be expensive! :-) If it's a charity do, I think just the cost of petrol would be fine; if not, we can sort something out.

If that's any use to you, PM me through Mudcat if you've got membership, or email me at "ratelect at hotmail dot com", or just post here.

Graham.
