The band has been described as producing "meltingly fine music " (Verity Sharp, BBC Radio 3) and comprises John Dipper on fiddle, low fiddle and concertina, Michael Beeke on English border pipes and low whistle, James Tween on melodeon and Alice Jones on vocals, clarinet, piano & whistles.They describe themselves as producing "traditional dance music and song with lush fiddle harmonies, rhythmic drive and passion!" Tickets can be purchased from the theatre Box Office on 01483 444789 at £9 in advance, or £11 on the day. I'm personally looking forward to seeing John's band in action, as I haven't seen him in this line-up before - haven't failed to like the various combos he's been in (including Patterson Jordan and Dipper, _of course_!
