From: Amos It sounds like the song in question is "I'm Satisified With My Gal", with the lines, "She ain't got no Yas, she do! Oh, no she don't! Oh, yas she do! I'm satisfied with my gal." It has been performed by many people and there is no way to determine which recording your father in law bought without more information about it. A |

01 Jun 06 - 04:46 PM (#1751260) Subject: RE: Origins: She ain't got no yo do Who sings it. From: Amos Azizi: That's the whole gimmick of the song. The next verse goes: "Well, will she let me? No, she won't Oh, yes she will! Oh, no she won't, I'm satisfied with my gal!!" The details are left to the listener's imagination. If I am not misremembering, the Chorus goes: "She's got great big eyes, purdy teeth, and I love her dainty, dimpled double-chin. "Lotsa style, wotta smile, and Oh, what a Momma she has been!" Somp'n like that, anyway... A |

It's included on their "Greatest Hits" CD (reissue), which is an essential buy for this kind of music. "...Jug band music made me stomp down my floor, 'cause it sounds so sweet..." |

From: Amos Angie: There was a lot of half-and-half (Japanese/Western) music generated after the war, so it is perfectly possible, but I have no specifics on this particular tune being sung that way -- it sounds like it was from the lyrics clue you posted, though. In fact I am just guessing that this is the song you are trying to find. Amos |
