John
From my friend

Its either in the scout hut in Headless Cross or the salvation army

no drinks at the club

either phone 01527 545560 or email bryn@hollowhills.fsnet.co.uk

A Staement from Bryn
If you turn up on the door without having contacted me first, the odds are I'm going to turn you away (unless I know you personally.) It may be harsh, but we really seriously do have to be members only. I am not putting directions, or even the location of the venue in the hopes that this will mean everyone who fancies coming along remembers to mail me first!

Cheers
Les

I haven't been since before Christmas, but it was still at the Ambulance Hut then.

Will miss this too as we're in Bishops Castle.

Where's Redditch?

I think 'Headless Cross' is a cool name...

Good bit of plugging there Breezy - as if you didn't know where it was :-)
Don't get lost on the ring road round Redditch :-)

Don't go near the Redditch ring road, you'll end up in Stratford upon Avon or Birmingham, but not the folk club. Go cross country from Burcot, it takes ten minutes.

We could have fun with this. I know people who've got onto the ring road and never been seen again.
Foolstroop, you think Headless Cross is cool, how about Crabbs Cross and Lickey End. Strange place Worcestershire.

I remember all those places.

They sound funny now, but when I lived in Brum, many years ago, names like that sounded OK :-)

Don't forget Lickey Hills and fancy having a S't Andrews in the middle of Birmingham, pity the quality of football doesn't match up to the quality of the golf played in the real S't Andrews.

I didn't use the ring road one time and finished up heading to Worcester instead of Nottingham. Redditch is so difficult if you don't live there, wether you are on the ring road or not :-).

I hope to see George and Dan on Monday at Herga (suspect I might see Breezy too), but of course the festival that used to be in Redditch has moved to Alcester, and will be the following weekend...

Kitty

(Yes I know that Four Fools went to Chorley with Ken and Angie, but the remnant was in Headless Cross until it moved to Alcester....)

"the festival that used to be in Redditch has moved to Alcester"

Yeah, like the Maleny Festival moved to Woodford, or was that 'the Woodford Festival moved to Maleny'... damn old age...
