Enjoyed it immensely. Pity about the "no beer on the streets" law though. Makes having your own pewter tankard somewhat redundant if you cant step outside the pub into the sunshine to watch the dancing etc.
Thank you for your singing Kitty. That alone was worth the traffic jams coming and going :-)

Thanks for the compliment Dead Horse - I was in the traffic jams coming and going too, so I really rate that as a compliment! And thanks for your contribution to the Saturday singaround too.

I only managed to watch the dancing for about an hour, on Sunday, but that was long enough to get sunburn. I still feel wistful watching North West because I miss dancing, but I was really grateful not to be jumping up and down in clogs and kit last weekend.

Dont fancy blacking up, wearing tatters and doing a bit of stick bashing either then?
It was so warm I nearly joined the Over 80s Nude Leapfrog Formation Display Team, just to get some fresh air under my arm pits........

I walked back to the campsite with Sue the Borderer on Saturday night, so am clued-up about the after-effects of blacking up, wearing tatters and stick bashing all day....... Sue still went and did it all again on Sunday (and sang in the singarounds between dance spots!)

Ooops! I didn't realise I was cookieless. That was me in the last posting, but I didn't start the thread.

Just about recovered. When it got to 4pm on the Saturday and I finished dancing with Exmoor, I decided I must be absolutely crazy to be starting again at 5 with Herbaceous Border, but we had a great time. Lots of teenagers and youngsters as well as those of mature years. I think the only thing that got anywhere near 80 was the temperature.

My only disappointment was that you didn't join us, Dead Horse - next time I'll keep you to your promise.... though I'd rather not see the armpits.
