Well, I wouldn't have changed it to BS, but some Clone did. Makes no nevermind, I guess....
If this thread moves toward music, I'll move it back.
I was looking for a Website for the Witches of Elswick, and this (click) is the closest I could find. They weren't scheduled to perform when I went to Whitby Folk Week a few years back, but I got the chance to hear them perform a few songs there. They were terrific, some of the best a cappella harmony I've heard.

My assumption is that Anne Robinson's "nasty" act is as much of a fake as many TV presenters "nice" act. It's a comfortable living, more so than other ways of selling oneself.

It's still pretty nasty, and I suspect that it has done rather a lot of harm through people thinking it's clever and funny and OK to bully people they have in their power. "Bad money drives out good" they used to say, when rulers went in for debasing the coinage. "Bad manners drive out good" when it comes to debasing things more important than coinage.

Apparantly it was a repeat (or a re-run) but I didn't see it first time. Congrats Gillian you at least gave the old ginger slapper a run for her money

How about suggesting a team of folksingers?

A team of folksingers sounds like a good idea....but ould you teach them to pull a plough?

They'd all want to pull in different directions likely. Then there'd be the endless discussions on which song to sing as an accompaniment, and then the correct key to sing it in. Of course there's also the argument about the tempo, and the discussion about how they did it in the old days. Then there's the who leads controversy, whether to do it in 4 part or 6 part harmony, parallel 4ths or parallel 5ths.
What are they going to plant in the field after they've ploughed it? No GM crops, no artificial fertilizers, no planting on the sabbath, no harvesting on Tom Bococks Eve.
I think the answer to your question Dick, is NO.
Giok
