Does anyone have lyrics for this song? I think it was written by Robbie O'Connell. The recording I have is really fuzzy and I'm having trouble making it out.

Hi, Maelgwyn - is there anything more you can tell us about the song? A few phrases from what you can make, out, or more information about the recording? Song titles can often deceive - it may be somebody here knows it by a different title. When I searched the forum for Connemara, I found this (click me). It's close, but no cigar. Wrong town, I guess....

Here's what I can make out:

He spent his youth among the stones/ The ocean tumbled in his bones/ His heart was tempered by its drone/ The man from Connemara

He always stood out from the crowd/ His noble heart both strong and proud/ He longed to speak his thoughts out loud/ The man from Connemara

After that all I can get out of it is bits and pieces.

The song was recorded by Sean Keane (Dolores' brother)
