It may be too country to have made the title search, but I'm looking for the lyrics to "No One Will Ever Know," an old c&w song.. some of the lyrics: "No one will ever know, my heart is breaking, although a million teardrops start to flow, I'll cry myself to sleep and wake up smiling, I'll love you, but no one will ever know.." Can anyone help?? Thanks.

Z

Zorro,

I don't know the songs you are requesting but you will get a better and quicker response by naming your thread more specifically, e.g. "LYR REQ: No One Will Ever Know"

Hope you find the songs you are looking for, Helen

Probably isn't, but it has a lot of similarity to "You Don't Know Me," an Eddy Arnold tune circa 1955.

NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW
(Fred Rose - Mel Foree, 1945)

No one will ever know my heart is breaking
Although a million teardrops start to flow.
I'll cry myself to sleep and wake up smiling.
I'll miss you but no one will ever know.

I'll tell them we grew tired of each other
And realize our dreams could never be.
I'll even make believe I never loved you;
Then no one will ever know the truth but me.

No one will ever know how much I'm pining
Each time the past comes back to haunt me so.
No one will ever see the tears I'm hiding.
You've hurt me but no one will ever know.

I'll tell them I've found true love with another,
That I was glad the day you set me free.
I'll even make believe I never loved you;
Then no one will ever know the truth but me.

[Recorded by Tony Bennett, Johnny Cash, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Don Gibson, Jerry Lee Lewis, Hank Locklin, Roy Orbison, Hank Snow, The Sons of the Pioneers, Jerry Vale, Hank Williams, and many others.]

OOPS!

          Oh So Many Years

Oh these many years I've loved you
No one has ever known
No one has ever known but you alone.
I've kept it locked inside my heart
And smiled through all of my tears.
My darling I have loved you
Oh so many years.

Each night within my lonely room
I cry dear over you
And pray to God that things will turn out right.
But when the light of dawn appears
I brush away my tears.
My darling I have loved you
Oh so many years.

Maybe fate will lead us down a path
Where we shall meet again
And we shall both be free to love anew.
Then one sweet kiss from your dear lips
Will wash away my fears.
my darling I have loved you
Oh so many years.

Now I have to remember where I heard it.

or,

No one now will ever know how much I love you
Just how much I miss you and how much I care
No one now can ever ever make me happy
No one now will ever know the love we shared.

Now that you have joined the angels up in heaven
I'd give the world dear just to see your face
No one now can ever ever make me happy
No one now can ever ever take your place.

I had planned once for our wedding in the springtime
Happiness and all the things that go with love
Little ones a home with flowers in a garden
Now I'll have to wait until we meet above.

Now that you have joined the angels...etc.

Man, this takes me back about 50 years! Anyone remember Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper?
