19 Oct 06 - 05:34 PM (#1863628) Subject: RE: Wadebridge Folk Club From: brioc I think it was 1981. Myself and two friends went on a trip from Dublin in the car, and brought a tent. We traveled through Wales and heard on the radio about a folk festival in Wadebridge. MY my, it was magic. WE sat in a tiny wee pub and had Vin Garbut, then we chatted and sang with Ralph Mactell. it was amazing. The following evening getting ready to move on we heard on same radio that FleetwoodMac were doing a "Revival"concert in Oxford................ The car just about made it onto the ferry ramp in holyhead............ Those were the days my friends. Brioc |
