It was entitled "The Return of Pansy Smith and Violet Jones" and had such wonderful songs on it as "Tea and Corpses" and "Knickerbocker Line".... Unfortunately, some ingrates stole my copy when they broke into my car! (I just picture these guys going "Hey, there's no naked people on this tape, why'd they call it Flash girls, bubba?") I am to the point of tears everytime I start to sing and find that I've forgotten some of the lines to yet another of the songs, knowing the tape is out of production and the band is obscure enough to not have a song-book out... So... are there any other Flash Girls fans out there? With copies of the tape, and/or lyrics who can help me commit the songs to paper so I don't forget them for all time? ~jess~ |

If you will go to: www.player.org/pub/flash/flash.html (Please note, this is not an actual link; I've not studied that, yet) you will find their website, which looks very interesting and mentions their debut album, which is the one the dastardly theives stole from you. I didn't take a lot of time to read about them, but I did bookmark it and intend to go back and explore. They sound like a lot of fun. Thanks for telling us about them, katlaughing |
