From: Polly Squeezebox I hope all of those still waiting to celebrate their birthday this month have as happy a day as I had last Saturday 8th on my B'day. Awoke, very chilled out after a week on holiday to a beautiful view of the sea. Then travelled homeward via Glastonbury, where husband treated me to some hard to come by books on I Ching - and I treated me to some wonderful gemstones from Stone Age. Thanks to folk friends the weekend before at West Somerset Festival and a few later at Porlock for making me feel so relaxed I was almost horizontal. If that's what retirement is like roll on July 2008. Sorry to wax on so lyrical - but I wish all fellow Julians and Juliettes (and all 'Catters for that matter) the happiness I had for my birthday. I had a wonderful birthday party on Saturday night with friends and family - felt totally blessed as my life gets richer and richer. That's the beauty of age for me. Turned 59 and lovin' every second of it. Can't wait for 60 'cos life just gets better and better. Rich in family, rich in friends, rich with the riches of life, and rich with years. How good is good? Oh, I love that question. Once again, happy happy happy happy birthday to all July-ers. I guess I could say the same for every month but, well, ummmmm....... I'm just a bit self-centred (and I do believe us July-ers are pretty damn good). |
