Bed/Folk gigs needed in UK for SaltyWalt

I'll be in the UK performing at Seafest in Scarborough (7/21-23). I'll be needing a place to stay, or a reason to move about, or a folk club gig to help meet people or pay my way for a week or two until I have to be in Bremen for Festival Maritim (8/4-6).

I'm pretty open to suggestions, and I don't have anything tied down yet.
Gigs or beds in Germany or Netherlands would be OK too.
There's a few mudcatters who can vouch for me if you need references.
My direct email is of the Yahoo variety.
I'm "saltywalt1".

I look forward to hearing from you all.

Erm - I think you might have left the gigs thing a bit late Saltywalt - even if anywhere had a vacant spot for you, there would hardly be time to promote anything.

As for the beds thing...I'm not in the right area and, sorry if this sounds abrupt but, a 'please' might not have gone amiss, somewhere in your posting. You're asking people who have probably never met youto put you up.

I met saltywalt when iwas booked at sanfrancisco folf festival and a fine fellow and performer he is to. I can put you up around that time in bedfordshire or devon the following week. As blowzabella says its a bit shortnotice for paying gigs but there is alot going on to put your name about for future tours. I look forward to seeing you over here. Cllr

Salty Walt is litterbox trained and a fine nautical singer.

But do send him back after you've had your fun with him.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

UK folks, please take good care of Walt. He is a good guy, and a powerful singer.

We're looking forward to working with him at Seafest, Chanteyranger. Pity you're not able to get over here for it.

Hi All.
This is my first chance to get to a computer since I've gotten here.
Thanks Ken (Chantey Cabin)!

I'm flying back to the Netherlands Thurs (today) then up to Bremen on Sun or Mon.
Thanks for the |UK help and good wishes.!
If there are any beds in Netherlands or Germany, well, drop me a saltywalt 1 email.
(the Yahoo address) I'm not sure when I'll get to check this again.

Keep up the good wishes!
Walter

I'm back home (finally) and wanted to send out a "Thank You" to all of you for your kind words and support.
I hope to meet and sing with more of you in the future.
I'm even more excited to find that Europe has enough interest in folk music that gigs must be booked far in advance.

It does my heart good.
Thanks again to all you helpful Mudcatters.
