31 Oct 06 - 08:09 AM (#1872909) Subject: RE: NIC JONES/THE HALLIARD Heads Up From: Nigel Paterson As many of you will now be aware, Nic's 'Game,Set & Match' was released on 1st.October. Tomorrow, 1st.November, sees the release of 'The Last Goodnight!' from The Halliard (Nic Jones,Dave Moran & Nigel Paterson). Originally recorded as a demo album, way back in 1968. Along with the 15 original tracks are three additional tracks recorded in 2005. The Halliard as we would want to be remembered with tantalising glimpses of the emerging talent of Nic Jones. 02 Nov 06 - 05:45 AM (#1874522) Subject: RE: NIC JONES/THE HALLIARD Heads Up From: Nigel Paterson I heartily agree with Duncan's comment about 'valuable archive material'. As far as we (Nic,Dave,Nigel) are concerned, with the release of 'The Last Goodnight', all our 'Halliard Songs' are finally available on CD & in print. It's a legacy of which we feel very proud & in some small way, a compensation for the absence of released material back in the 60s. Nigel Paterson (mandolin, The Halliard) |
