I am giving all Mudcatters a heads up on our next Borderline Folk Music Club, house concert in New City (Rockland County), NY. We have just booked Atwater-Donnelly for Saturday night, November 11th. For more information please e-mail me at solz@att.net and I will e-mail you the concert flyer in Jpeg. format. They are a multi-instrumental duo with amazing vocal harmonies. They do everything from Appalachian to Celtic to New England Traditional folk songs. It is a show not to be missed.

I would like to remind all the folks here again of the Atwater Donnelly concert that is taking place on Saturday night, November 11th in Rockland County, NY under the auspices of the Borderline Folk Music Club. The Borderline is Rockland's only non-profit traditional folk venue. We are also the only venue that utilizes the House Concert format, which enables the audience to interact with the performers in a warm, friendly, and intimate setting. For further information you can e-mail me at solz@att.net

As we get closer to this concert date, I am refreshing this thread.
I want to remind everybody about this event.

Atwater-Donnelly will be making their first appearance in Rockland County under the auspices of the Borderline Folk Music Club, a non profit venue.

The concert will take place on Saturday night, November 11th, 8 PM at the home of Steve Shapiro, 7 - Trailside Court New City, NY The price is $20 per person which includes refreshments. Being that this is a house concert we will require advance reservations, but payment will be made at the door on the night of the event. We have to know how many people are coming so that we can make the appropriate food and seating arrangements. I have set up a special toll free number for anyone seeking additional information and reservations. It is 1-877-745-3752. This number is to be used only for the Atwater-Donnelly concert and not for general conversation.

We already have people coming from as far away as Honesdale, PA., Kingston, NY, the Philadelphia area, Long Island, and South Jersey.
Please get your reservaions in early because seating is limited and the fire marshalls will not let us exceed our capacity.

When I posted the toll free telephone number yesterday, I specificly requested that it only be used for reservations or information pertaining to the Atwater-Donnelly concert on November 11th. What I have gotten instead is calls from performers looking to play gigs at our venue. Although I do not want to discourage potential performers I ask that they PM me or e-mail me at solz@att.net rather than tie up the toll free concert line.

I received a call today from Emily Kratzer, the arts & leisure editor for The Journal News, Rockland County's major newspaper. They decided to do a feature article on the Borderline house concert series and on Atwater-Donnelly in particular. She interviewd Fay & myself over the phone and then called Aubrey Atwater and interviewed her and Elwood as well. The article will appear in next Thursday's newspaper and will hopefully boost attendance at our concert on November 11th.

O.K. folks. The concert is this coming Saturday night and we still have some seats left. Atwater-Donnelly is a real class act and anyone who has a chance to see them should not miss the opportunity.
The toll free number, 1-877-745-3752 is still in operation for those who want to make reservations or seek more information.

The concert was a huge success with 30 very happy people being thoroughly entertained. Aubrey and Elwood wre just fantastic from their harmony vocals to their superb instrumentation. Aubrey also did some clogging and step dancing for us and recited some of her poetry as well. Little Brother and his wife took close to 100 pictures and as soon as Fay finishes editing them we will put them up on Mudcat for all to see.
