I took the spelling from O'Neils 1001 Gems, and mistook the g for a z, should have written Uisge Beata [ not beatha ] pronounced ushka vey.

There will never be any consensus on scotch because the types are too variable. The most well known ones fall into only two catagories, both rather bland. The rest tend to be so different that catagorizing them is impossible. My advice is to get a decent bottle of cask strength stuff and drink it an ounce at a time; never more than a few ounces a day.
