It doesn't say who wrote the song. Several people have written songs called COLUMBINE. Does anyone know who wrote the one that Derek Brimstone recorded? If we knew, we might be able to get the lyrics from another source. |

08 Aug 06 - 02:52 PM (#1804633) Subject: RE: Lyrics please - 'Columbine' by Derek Brimstone From: folkwaller Columbine. The lyrics. Thanks to 'Brimmo'. Tossing hair of raven Eyes of flashing blue All the living that your saving Won't buy your dreams for you. Cut yourself a Columbine Tear it from the stem Breath apon the petals fine And throw' em to the wind. Watch the petals dancing See them whirl and spin For all your pride and prancin' Well how much will it bring. Watch the petals start to fly Then come tumbling down Hear the wind begin to cry As they tumble to the ground Oh lady like the flower fair Some day you'l have to call And you will see me standing there To catch as you fall Repeat first verse. Dereks words on 'Shuffleboat' are slightly different but these are the words he sent me. They apparantly came from an LP by Mike Chapman. |
