BS: The Dead Sea Scroll code.

My pitch to United Artists studio:

I am experimenting with a manuscript regarding some of the most alarming Dead Sea Scroll manuscripts that caused so much consternation with the initial restoration scholar, whose job it was to oversee the project, that he commited suicide.
It has been alleged that he ground certain passages to dust before taking his life.
Playing as fast and loose with the truth as the D'Vinci code, I am thinking of having the destroyed scroll passages rediscovered.
To make a long story short and bypassing arcane numerology and the car chase, a prophesy is discovered regarding a future prophet by the name of Jesus and his resurrection 700 years later as the prophet Mohammed followed by 2 more incarnations, one as a Protestant in 1700 and the 4th one reborn in 2000.

Boy oh boy, The movie will be like 4 passions of the Christ in one with something for everyone...and the beauty part is the religion of the 4th prophet is not revealed at the end - leaving room for a kick ass sequel set in the middle of a mid east war when the Messiah as again a Jew.

It seems my script proposal got leaked to Mel Gibson. I heard he went out, got drunk and totally lost his cool over my script.

Back in the seventies, I went to Sydney to visit a friend who was at the Drama School. We went out for the day, and ended up at mid morning in a café. There at a table, looking very hung over, with his head in his hands about 11 am was a much younger Mel Gibson...

Well, it's good to see he's had it sewn back on.
