I've just received a review in a Dutch magazine and thought I'd get it translated via Babelfish. Should have known better, of course - are there any Dutch speaking Mudcatters who can do better than this? (I will of course send on the Dutch text to anyone who can help). I hope it's a good review, but I'm somewhat puzzled by some of the content! Here's Babelfish:

"The cd Waiting For The Hero starts van Anne Lister what stroefjes. Lister really a smooth voice does not have and sometimes it has them what doorrookte sounded of Marianne Faithfull do not sound, already Lister long this way depressed. Toch touch you rapidly got used to its manner of to sing and the tales and myths of Lister take over it. That those tales are translated to beautiful songs which help to be moreover fraai arranged thereby also. It sounds all traditional and British (Lister ends up wales), but the songs have been all written and have been arranged by Anne Lister themselves, which also jet ear plays. The rest of the instrumentation exists from bagpipes, flutes, bouzouki, fiddle, concertina, manifold, tests and harp, everything records and distant used. Everything also in service of the songs, because it are the tales where it twists for at this singer. It sounds all not resounding or renewing, but it is quite well in its type, and that is sufficiently sometimes more than. Pure quality is also what worth."

Let's face it, there aren't many of us around who can claim to play the jet ear!
