hello!
I once owned Knowe o'deil's 'Orcadia', on LP.
I still own its cover but have knowe i'dea where the inside, playable part has done with itself to. I have scoured the net, ebay etc..and come up with nothing.
I would very much like to get this ablum again. Does anyone have one for sale?, or to burn?(will do a burn-swap).
I would prefer to get an original but It's the music I really want so..any-way will do.
Anyone?
Thanks
Moocowpoo

I'm seem to remember the topic of "Knowe O'Dei'l" recordings coming up on Simon Thoumire's "Foot Stompin" website some months ago. I suggest you try asking there. Sorry I can't help.

I did a site search there and only came up with an Ian drever cd, one of the members but, could find nothing on this album...
I am pretty sure it's only available on LP and It is most defenitely deleted.
help anyone else?

I did a "google" search on "Knowe o deil", and right at the top was the discussion on "Foot stompin" I meant to send you to. Try it.

I found the mention of the album and joined footstompin but it seems there's no way to contact the member who owns that album.
Thanks anyway, Will keep searching.

You can't contact people directly, but you could ask Simon Thoumire, the website owner, to put you in touch with the person who has the album. They're usually very accomodating.

I have on cassette an album called? Knowe O' Deil featuring Ian Drever and someone else whose name I can't remember at the moment. Some of the tracks are , Betty Corrigall, Hoy's dark and Lofty Isle, The wearing of the Blue, Sheena Wellingtons, Orkney anthem etc.

Is this the album you are looking for?

Hello
I haven't been at a computer for a little while, I was suprised to see so many responses..The albums mentioned are other than the one I owned, which was titled 'Orcadia' and one track I can remember the name of is 'when the night waves boom'..and 'woud an married...something'...
However, If no one has Orcadia, I would love to do a recording swap with someone, because I haven't heard Knowe o'deils' other albums..I'll contact one of you when I get back to Sydney(in a few weeks from now).
Kenny, thanks for that advice, I'll try and contact that LP owner through Simon
Thanks very much for the replies everyone!!!
