Our mechanism for submitting links to the links page has been down for a long time. If you have links you'd like to submit, post them here. I'd try to edit them into usable form.

It would be helpful if people give at least a site title if not a brief description along with the url!

This one may warrant some exploration: Songs Collected by Donagh MacDonagh, who did a program on Radio Eireann called Ireland Is Singing in the 1940's and 1950's.

http://www.monologues.co.uk/ - this may already be on our links page. It's a huge collection of English music hall comedy routines. It may help me understand all those music hall CD's I have.

  • Folk Archive Resource North East - is an exciting and innovative project bringing Northumbrian music to people's homes across the world. Supported by the New Opportunities Fund, FARNE has gathered material from across North East England to create a folk music archive on the Internet. Material including song lyrics, tunes, sound recordings and photographs are all available from here.
  • Richard Moon's TUNEdb - the traditional music database, where you can search our database of traditional tunes and store your tune information for the benefit of all.

'Word of Mouth:The History of American Folk Music television series'

'Yes, we''re still in production, having completed principal photography Fall 2006. Tentative air date/first DVD release, Winter 2008. Check out the hundreds of important performers, educators, and illuminators we''ve interviewed on-camera in our "Gallery" section. As we take a serious look at the Ango- and Afro-centric roots of American folk music, I know you''ll be pleased to see all of the classic performers, and many, many new favorites. Shirley Collins, The Copper Family, Martyn Wyndham-Read, Martin Carthy and Wizz Jones, are among the stellar UK interviews; Pete Seeger, Guy Carawan, Irwin Silber, Barbara Dane, and the likes of Dan Bern, Todd Snider, and Devendra Banhart are also included. Nut Hill Productions, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization, so if you''d like to make a donation towards the completion of this seminal series, we''d welcome your assistance. We'd also welcome any suggestions, comments, etc.

Here's a link to a Parodies Website that Peace sent in - but he and I agree that we don't like parodies much. I checked a couple of parodies at the Website, and didn't like them at all.
But see for yourself.

I haven't explored this Website thoroughly, but what I've seen looks tantalizing - http://www.songtrellis.com/ - Music and musical know-how.
Sorcha found it and posted a link in another thread.

Our Links Page is in good working order again, so I will be gradually incorporating the best of these ad hoc links into the Mudcat links system. -Joe-
