Let's talk about renting vs. owning homes.

I was a renter for 20 some years, then twelve years ago acheived the Great American nightma--I mean dream--of home ownership.

Advantages of renting:

1. When the heat goes out at 3:00 am, call the landlord.
2. When the roof leaks, call the landlord.
3. When the pipes break, call a plumber. Send ;bill to landlord.
4 For those of us who are somewhat phobic of housecleaning, the dirt never piles up more than 4 years deep. That's because you clean when you move in, and you clean when you move out.

Metaphysically speaking, is the memesphere a closed and entropic system with occasional "novelty" waves, as modeled in McKenna's "Time Wave Zero" thesis? If so, what is the nature of the "strange attractor" he asserts can be found in 2012 AD, at which entropy seems to outweigh novelty to the degree that all things will come to an end? I love raw beetroot shredded and tossed with fresh lemon and orange juice and mixed with either walnuts or pine nuts. I got into the spirit of it one afternoon and had about three bowls. I forgot I'd eaten it by the time next morning came around. I awoke, had a coffee and a smoke and went to the loo for my constitutional. I stood up to flush and I glanced into the bowl. You wanna give yer heart a lesson in start/stop thumping? Sheesh. Looked like a quart of fresh red blood in the bowl. Then I thought back . . . .

Yes I have to keep calm after eating beetroot.

The first signs of me having cancer of the bladder about 9 years ago was peeing blood on a golf course. That put the sh*ts up me.

It was definitely one of my choices of girlfriends, but I'm not sure if it was the first one (5 years) or the second one (3 years). Kind of hard to say. They were both very odd, but in very different ways. I've never had very good judgement at all when it came to romance. Good intentions, but totally lousy judgement.

The fact is, I love romance, but I can't stand living with anyone for too long. I should have been a travelling musician, I guess.
