Some of the lyrics links don't work for me - but since there ARE links, it appears that they plan to post lyrics, or that the lyrics are there and my crummy, slow dialup connection won't let me access them. I wish more performers would provide lyrics and not act like it's a crime for people to want to see lyrics. -Joe- |

I have forgotten part of one verse and can not find it anywhere. I don't think they recorded it. They wrote it for Marie Maldaur. I'm missing part of the following: Now I'm not saying that everything has got to be black or white. For instance, the Sun's a star but it don't shine at night. But for every shade of gray Shines between night and day ???????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????? I've got a lyric request for it on the 'Cat, but no joy thus far. Janie |

19 Feb 18 - 01:37 AM (#3906592) Subject: Lyr Add: I CRIED FOR US (Kate McGarrigle) From: Jim Dixon I CRIED FOR US Written by Kate McGarrigle As recorded by Rufus Wainwright and Antony on "Sing Me the Songs: Celebrating the Works of Kate McGarrigle" (2013) Love, it's not I Who didn't try Hard enough, Hard enough; And this is why I'm saying goodbye: I've had enough; I've had enough. Love, you don't see The pain in me. It's plain enough, Plain enough. You're never here To catch the tears I cried for us, I cried for us. I'll take my share, But I'll be fair. There's not much stuff, Easy enough; And if you choose, I'll break the news. This part is tough, So very tough. I've tried and tried To put aside The time to talk, But without luck; So I'll just pin This note within Your coat and leave The garden gate unlocked. And this is why I'm saying goodbye: I've had enough; I've had enough. [Also recorded by Kate & Anna McGarrigle on "Love Over and Over" (2003) [Also recorded by The Pet Shop Boys & Donna Lynn Champlin. [Also recorded under the title I'VE HAD ENOUGH by Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, and Emmylou Harris on "Trio" (1987).] |

They follow singers and songwriters. They compile their lyrics and post them in files at: Robin Dunn's Wordpress site |
